I'm happy to announce that after 4 years of research and writing up my PhD (and having passed my Viva), one of the albums produced as part of the research output is now released on bandcamp (second one with brother Kostas Bechlos to follow very soon):
During my research I examined the sonic content and expressiveness found in free jazz saxophone performances and I developed new guitar techniques inspired by the respective saxophone ones.
A bunch of extended guitar and audio processing techniques have been employed in all 6 compositions, making the album essentially a guitar only performance. It depicts a different view to guitar expressiveness, positioning the instrument in different functions, typically occupied by other instruments.
ACHTUNG!!! This is experimental music, so not like the usual Dance Hits you're used to hearing from me. Just thought I'd mention it before you put on your best 80s suit/dress.
